Just Thinking...about Google, Greatness and Getting a Repeat Performance

As a returning Instructional Technology Facilitator to Gaston County Schools, I wanted to let you all know how grateful I am for your truly warm reception these past few weeks as I return to make a repeat performance. The hugs, smiles, pats on the back and "Welcome Back Home" greetings have been worth more to me than words can express!! I am deeply excited to be working with some of you again and getting to work with others of you for the first time. You are proving to be some of the hardest working, most compassionate and dedicated educators I know! I mean this with all my heart! You impress me daily. I am excited to be on your team! You continue to do great things for kids!

On another note: As I have been making my rounds to my 8 elementary schools on the northern side of Gaston County, it has been so SUPER cool to watch everyone using Googledocs, Gmail and Google Calendar. I love the clamoring about, "Did you share that lesson with me?" and the replies, "--Sure did...I made a few changes and added some more things. Let me know what ya think." Eveyone seems to be electrified by the increase in collaborations...which really is increasing productivity. GASTON HAS GONE GOOGLE!!!

Please, let me know if there is any way in which I can help as we make this Google-rrific transition!
Keep doing the wonderful things you're doing, and, please, do invite me to participate in the planning and execution of your wonderful technology integrated lessons!
